The year 2007 is being celebrated as "Destination Pakistan", Government has announced reliefs to facilitate tourists. Royalties for winter expeditions have been reduced and only 5% of the total royalty will have to deposit now for climbing over 8000m peaks during winter season.  For the summer the concession of 50% royalties from the last years will prevail also for the coming years. Climbing below 6500m peaks have already been declared trekking peaks and needs no climbing permits. However, in restricted zones such expeditions will require a trekking permit. The Government also announced easier visa policies for many countries.
